Why Did the Men Decide on Women's Rights?

Abortion, birth control, and everything in between is something that women should be able to decide on their own. Simple, their bodies, their rules. The fact that this today is still something that is controversial in our country really takes me back a bit. Yes, abortion is technically killing an unwanted child/pregnancy, but it is still the women's choice. Only they can decide if they are physically and mentally ready for a pregnancy let alone a child. People that are pro life need to consider some aspects of abortion. Some teenagers get pregnant at ages 15, 16, 17, etc, they still have their whole lives ahead of them as well as school maybe a sport, club, how will teenagers be teenagers with a 9 month (or more) waitlist? Sometimes rape victims can be pregnant from their assaulter's sperm and in that case their child will be a walking, talking reminder of that horrible experience. At the end of the day, why do other people get to decide what a women does with her own body?

While watching Reversing Roe on Netflix, I found myself very bothered that an all male panel decided on these laws. When the first controversy with abortion came out, a panel of old, powerful men made that choice. Watching all of the controversy and discussions throughout the movie, they escalated as time went on. When George H. W. Bush was president, he didn't show a lot of control about this topic, which made the pro life people very happy because he wasn't opposing to make abortion illegal. The minute Bill Clinton stepped into presidency he stated that abortion is a women's choice and will be legal, which I applauded. Then it showed Barak Obama during his presidency say the same thing about how it is a women's right and that planned parenthood will stay where it is, continuing to help women everyday.

Planned parenthood is an enemy of pro life supporters. Pro life supporters will stand outside planned parenthood and verbally attack women going inside. Planned parenthood was created in 1916 and has been progressing since. Personally, I think that this development has saved women's lives. If it wasn't there, women would go ahead and do illegal abortions which were not safe nor sanitary.

Overall, I am 100% pro choice, women's body, women's rules.
