Hidden Figures

The part of this film "Hidden Figures" that I like the most is that I never would have heard about these three inspirational women if it were not for this movie.  For Dorothy Vaughn Katherine Jackson, and Mary Jackson to be unheard of for so many years is just on the same as society was at that time. They tried to stop them but they couldn't, Mary Jackson and all the women so steadfast that no one was going to stop them from getting their goals. They are denied the same education as whites and do not have the same funding as the white schools. Dorothy and her boys went into an all 'whites' library and get kicked out for the sole reason of having a different skin color. When that is the community you live in then it is extremely hard to succeed.
Many in this situation are told to abandon their dreams because they would not be given the opportunity to achieve them. When these girls found what they love to do and didn't let anyone tell them they can't fulfill their dreams. They didn't get discouraged when even members of their own community did not support them because so many have had their dreams taken away. Mary Jackson's own husband did not support his own wife. They did not let that stop them, remained focused what they had fun and loved doing. Even having the same or even better credentials for the job as another white man and still not getting the job  is just goes to show how hard it was for these women to go out there and really make a change in the thought of success and being able to achieve it.
These women went through a very difficult time when going through that time and to lead such influential message of to not give up for what you believe in. Don't let anyone stop you form achieving your dreams. They certainly did not let that stop them and that is the reason why are hearing of such a amazing job these women did. It is much later than it should have been about being such a well known story. I hope to see and hear about more influential events that have had in history that are still in the shadows.
