Playing Dress Up

After rewatching the Disney movies I grew up watching my view have changes juristically n the motives Disney is displaying to young children. However, after analyzing the changes from Era 1 to Era 3, I am more hopeful for our children. I think I would decide to permit my children to watch the old Disney princess movie because I want them to enjoy a similar experience I did as a child. It is every girls dream to play dress up and I wouldn't want to take that away from my daughter. I remember playing with dolls and dressing them up and making them what society considers "pretty". It is hard to admit that Disney is encouraging little children to change their appearance to impossible expectations. I hope one day, people realize that what matters is on the inside and doesn't appeal to external looks. After all, our bodies are the shell for our souls. It is important that we pass down encouragement to future generations. We all saw the changes that Disney has made from Era 1 to Era 3. It is our responsibility as humans to continue to alter societal norms.
