Roe vs. Wade

Abortion is a very controversial topic. Many people have different views on whether or not abortion is moral or not.
Mr. Doggett explained in his presentation the court case of Roe v. Wade. Jane Roe was the women who stepped forward to fight for abortion. Roe wanted to be able to control her body but the state fought against her. The state of Texas had a law saying that it  was illegal for abortion. They argued that the fetus is still a person so abortion is killing a person. Roe's rebuttal was that US citizens should have the right to privacy. She argued that she should be able to decide what she does with her body.
Mr. Doggett's presentation was interesting and engaging. I learned a lot from it. I think it was interesting that they used the argument of privacy and liberty to argue abortion. I never thought of the right of privacy to be part of abortion. If people have the right to procreate why shouldn't people have the right not to procreate. I support abortion and believe that a women should be able to do what she wants with her body, but I also can see both sides.
